I went to Leadgate Salvation Army and attended Sunday School <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would have trips to places like Spanish City at Whitley Bay<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mother used to bake corned beef pies the night before, boil eggs, make sandwiches etc, and I think she took cups and the makings for a cuppa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kids were sent to the \u2018stall\u2019 to get the hot water at dinner time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can remember the hassle of putting up the deckchairs and tent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I only went on the Ghost Train once, in the White City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Happy days<\/p>\n\n\n\n
